Hi friends,
Many thanks to all who have registered to play this season. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate this year with the Central Park construction. We're excited to start playing next week on Monday, April 21st with Jim Neal's clinic at 10 am. Remember to take special note of our playing locations and allow extra time to arrive if needed!

As a reminder, as a player with Niskayuna Women’s Tennis (NWT), you are automatically enrolled as a member of Schenectady Tennis Association (STA). While our Niskayuna Women’s Tennis schedule is limited to late April - June, STA offers drop-in doubles play, clinics, and social events throughout the spring, summer, and into the fall. We encourage everyone to take advantage of STA’s playing opportunities, especially when our season ends.

Comments about finding Sub Players: If you cannot play in a given week, we expect that you will find a substitute player. Regularly failing to find subs is frustrating to teammates. If you cannot commit to a weekly schedule, we urge you to register as a “sub only”. Players who regularly miss play without finding substitutes may be designated next year as sub only.
Join NWT WhatsApp - We're adding a new way of communicating this year. Besides communicating via email and text, there may be times when we need to send a time sensitive broadcast to the whole group. We're going to do this using WhatsApp. Click to join NWT WhatsApp
Finding Subs - We suggest that people first use the NWT Player Roster & Sub Only List to request subs via email and text. We know sometimes this doesn't work or you might need to find a sub at the last minute. We hope using WhatsApp can help.
Club wide urgent messages - There may be times when we need to make last minute announcements, for example in case of club wide cancellations or court changes.
Additional playing opportunities - There may be folks who are looking to play outside of our scheduled playing times and playing season.
Registration payments: Thanks to those who have paid. If you haven’t paid, please do so promptly.
Electronic payments: Click on NWT Electronic Payments and choose NWT (not STA). Please note, total for electronic payments is $45 & transaction fee = $47.15
Check payments: please make checks payable for $45 to “STA Niskayuna Women’s Tennis” and mail to Linda Veraska, 1200 Hillside Ave, Unit 505, Niskayuna NY 12309.

Tennis clinics
Members of all playing levels are invited and encouraged to participate in the clinics taught by our coaches, local pros Jim Neal (mornings) and Terry Casillo (evenings).
Morning clinics on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Michigan Ave Courts, 1401 Schuyler Street, Schenectady
Evening clinics on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Mohawk Golf Club, 1849 Union St.
Doubles Mixer Events at Central Park, Schenectady
Our annual morning and evening doubles mixers are great ways to play doubles with different partners. We provide balls, and we play for FUN ONLY! No running game tallies - we keep rotating so players of all levels can play together and have a wonderful time!

End of season gathering date and location to be determined
Sadly, our favorite Great Flats venue has closed, so we are working on a new location. This is our annual event to recognize our coaches, captains, officers, and enjoy the company of our friends. We’ll send an Evite invitation closer to the event.
